Stuart Hyden, Founder & C.E.O.
Stuart Hyden is the Founder & C.E.O. of Fusion Logistics, Inc. a Nationwide End-to-End Third Party Logistics (3PL), Dedicated Delivery and Consulting services company that provides multiple offerings to both Shippers and Carriers in the small-package, final mile delivery space.
Prior to launching Fusion Logistics, Mr. Hyden was President of Velocity Franchising, LLC and Velocity Systems Franchising Corporation (VSFC), a whole owned subsidiary of Velocity Express, LLC and Velocity Express, Inc. Mr. Hyden launched VSFC in November of 2006 shortly after the merger of Velocity Express Corporation and CD&L, Inc. During this period Mr. Hyden grew the franchising network from inception to locations in sixty-eight markets (68) markets, covering over thirty states. Duties included recruitment, implementation and P&L management of the franchise operations. In addition to his franchise duties Mr. Hyden also served as Sr. Vice President of Field Sales and Client Services for Velocity Express, where he managed the local field sales effort, implementations, vertical markets group, customer matrices, client services, purchased transportation and retail services division, with P&L responsibility for the all the groups.
Prior to the merger, Mr. Hyden served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for CD&L, Inc., growing revenues from $156 million in 2001 to a run rate of $285 million at the time of the merger with Velocity Express. In 2004 Mr. Hyden launched CD&L Logistics, a third-party solutions provider of same-day transportation services in markets not served by CD&L. Mr. Hyden served as Executive Vice President-Logistics in addition to his duties as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
Prior to joining CD&L, Mr. Hyden held senior management and sales management positions with Corporate Express Delivery Systems, U.S. Delivery/All Florida Messenger & Delivery, Priority Dispatch, Emery Worldwide, Purolator Courier and Greyhound Bus Lines.
Mr. Hyden is the Immediate Past President of the Express Carriers Association, a leading industry trade association, where he served as President for 3 years. During his tenure the association grew by over 20% in membership while achieving the highest attendance at the associations annual MarketPlace event the last two years.
Mr. Hyden is also co-founder, President & C.E.O. of Big Bike Riders Children's Foundation, a philanthropic motorcycle association whose mission is to raise funds to support children's charities throughout Florida.
Mr. Hyden is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati where he earned a dual Bachelor of Science Degrees in Economics & Marketing.
